Ukrainian pensioners may be eligible for an additional pension payment if they have special merits before the state. According to current legislation, citizens who have been rehabilitated after political or religious persecution, as well as those recognized as fighters for Ukraine’s independence in the 20th century, are entitled to such an allowance.

Who Can Receive the Pension Supplement
The supplement can be received by rehabilitated individuals who were previously unlawfully deprived of their liberty or forcibly placed in psychiatric institutions by decisions of extrajudicial or other bodies. Additional payments are also provided for fighters for Ukrainian independence. The amount of the supplement can be up to 4200 hryvnias and is granted as an addition to the main pension payment.
Procedure for Registration and Deadlines for Document Submission
To apply for the supplement, it is necessary to contact the territorial office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine at the place of pension receipt. It is important to submit an application along with all necessary documents. If the documents are submitted by mail, the date indicated on the stamp of the place of dispatch is considered the date of application. If the submitted documents are incomplete, the Pension Fund will notify about the need to provide additional information, and up to three months is allowed from the moment of receiving the notification.
“It is established from the date of the person’s application, or from the date of acquiring the right to this payment, if no more than 12 months have passed.”
The registration of the supplement is only possible after providing a complete set of documents that confirm the right to such an additional payment.
