How to Calculate Gas Delivery Fees for 2026: A Step-by-Step Guide

Ukrainian consumers can now determine how much they will need to pay for gas delivery in 2026. This is related to the end of the so-called gas year in September, which runs from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. The volume of gas consumed during this period will be the basis for calculating the delivery fee for “blue fuel” starting January 1, 2026.

How to Accurately Calculate the Gas Delivery Fee

To determine the monthly gas delivery fee for 2026, you need to follow a few simple steps:

  • Find out your annual gas consumption for the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. This data can be found in your personal account with the gas distribution network operator (GRM).
  • Multiply the obtained volume of gas consumed by the tariff set by your GRM operator.
  • Divide the result by 12 to get the monthly payment amount.

Currently, gas delivery tariffs remain unchanged, so the future fee will depend solely on actual consumption during the specified period.

Important Calculation Nuances and Minimum Fees

To avoid being charged for excess gas based on planned norms, it is necessary to submit actual meter readings every month from the 1st to the 5th, especially at the end of the gas year. Even in the case of zero consumption, it is advisable to submit unchanged data.

“At the end of 2023, the government lifted the moratorium on disconnecting gas supply to debtor subscribers. The ban is only in effect in regions where hostilities are ongoing or in temporarily occupied territories. Or if your residence has been damaged due to hostile attacks.”

For all other consumers, accumulating debts may lead to disconnection from gas supply.

It is also important to remember the minimum gas delivery fee, which is charged even in the absence of consumption if the appropriate equipment is connected. The minimum norms are:

  • 39 cubic meters per year — for cooking;
  • 126 cubic meters — for cooking and water heating;
  • 314 cubic meters — for heating.

These norms are stipulated in the Gas Distribution Systems Code. To completely stop the charges, you must officially terminate the contract with the GRM operator and physically disconnect from the gas network. Reconnection is done on a paid basis.
