Grants of up to $5,000 for Small and Medium Enterprises in Kharkiv Region from DRC: Conditions and Details

Small and medium enterprises in the Kharkiv region that have been affected by hostilities now have the opportunity for international financial support to restore or develop their operations. The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has launched an application process for business grants of up to $5,000 (approximately 200,000 UAH).

Participation Conditions for Entrepreneurs

The program is aimed at supporting businesses in specific frontline and liberated communities in the Kharkiv region. The following communities are included: Vilkhivka, Rogan, Bezliudivka, Mala Danylivka, Vysoky, Derhachi, Solonytsivka, Pysochyn, Tsyrkuny, and Zolochiv.

To participate in the grant program, a company must meet a number of criteria. The enterprise should be sufficiently large, but the number of employees must not exceed 20. It is mandatory to have at least two years of verified experience in the field, as well as a history of tax payments for the last six months. It is important that the company has not received similar funding from other organizations in the past six months.

A key requirement is the presence of a detailed business plan, in which the entrepreneur must clearly specify the purposes for which the funds will be spent. Additionally, it is necessary to confirm the existence of demand for the product or service, supported by the results of a basic market research.

Grant recipients can use the funds for purchasing equipment, partial payment of rent (up to 25%), restoring damaged premises, and other purposes related to business development.

Application Deadline and Registration Features

The application process is open until May 31, 2026, via an online form. At the same time, the organizers emphasize that the number of grants is limited, so entrepreneurs are advised not to delay in submitting their documents. If the number of quality applications reaches the maximum before the established date, the registration form may be closed early. The procedure for determining the winners may take up to three months after the application period ends.

To participate in the program, entrepreneurs must carefully prepare all necessary documents and a business plan that meets the grant provider’s requirements. Such programs help small and medium businesses overcome the consequences of war and restore economic activity in the region.
