In particular, the conditions of the government resolution have been extended to include servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service. Now, combat participants within these formations will also be entitled to receive the one-time monetary reward.
Conditions for Payment and Procedure for Forming the List of Positions
The grounds for receiving such a reward are the duration of service in combat conditions, as well as direct participation in combat operations in areas of military action: in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in the “gray zone” between the positions of defense forces and Russian troops, as well as on the territory of Russia.
Additionally, the government has clarified the procedure for approving the list of positions for military service for individuals aged 18 to 25. This list will be formed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Department of the National Guard, and the administration of the State Border Guard Service in coordination with the General Staff.
Simplification of the Medical Examination Procedure
The procedure for undergoing a medical examination for citizens wishing to enlist has also been simplified, including the examination by a psychiatrist.
In February, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the launch of the ‘Contract 18-24’ project, which provides for a one-year contract worth 1 million UAH for volunteers aged 18-24. Later, the Ministry of Defense noted that these funds could also be received by volunteers who joined the military earlier.
According to Ukrainian legislation, those liable for military service aged 25 to 60 are subject to mobilization.
