In June 2025, Ukraine recorded a significant increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages — an average of 23.2% compared to June of the previous year. This price increase significantly exceeds the overall inflation rate, which was 14.3% in June.

Highest Price Increases: Eggs, Fruits, Oil
The most noticeable price increase was observed in eggs — their cost rose by 59.2% over the year. Following them are fruits, which became 51.7% more expensive. Sunflower oil also shows a high increase — 33.6%, while butter has become 28.3% more expensive.
Changes in the Cost of Basic Products
Significant price increases are observed in almost all major categories of food products. In particular, prices for vegetables have risen by 24.2%. Meat and meat products increased by 22.9%, bread became 21.9% more expensive, and milk — by 20.9%. The cost of non-alcoholic beverages rose by 20.3%.
Cottage cheese and dairy products also saw a noticeable increase — by 17.9%, fish — by 13.3%, pasta — by 11.2%, and sugar — by 9.1%.
