FGVFO Announces Sale of Assets from Prominvestbank, Bank Sich, and Ukrbudinvestbank in September

The Deposit Guarantee Fund (FGVFO) is starting the sale of assets from banks that are in the process of liquidation. Included in this list are Prominvestbank, “Bank Sich,” and Ukrbudinvestbank. It is noted that this initiative does not apply to large systemic banks such as PrivatBank or Oschadbank. The auctions will take place from September 3 to 15, with starting prices for lots beginning at 7,200 hryvnias.

Participation Conditions and Fund Allocation

Both legal entities and individuals are allowed to participate in the auctions, except for citizens and companies from the Russian Federation or those connected to the aggressor state. Individuals subject to personal sanctions or restrictive measures are also prohibited from participating. The proceeds from the sale are planned to be directed towards settling the claims of the banks’ creditors.

“Participation in the auction is open to both legal entities and individuals, except for those from the Russian Federation or individuals associated with the aggressor state. Potential buyers may also include individuals subject to personal special economic and other restrictive measures. The funds raised from the sale of assets will be directed to meet the claims of creditors,” FGVFO representatives stated.

Details of the Sale of Bank Assets

Prominvestbank is organizing auctions on September 4-5 in the “Prozorro.Sales” system. Twelve paintings by Ukrainian artist Viktor Haiduk, which are part of museum collections, private collections, and have previously been sold by auction houses, are being put up for sale. A total of over 50 canvases are planned for sale, with the starting price for the first batch ranging from 7,200 to 14,976 hryvnias.

“Bank Sich” will auction the right to claim a loan from an individual secured by real estate in the center of Kyiv on September 15. The collateral includes an apartment with an area of 698.2 sq. m and three parking spaces in the underground parking of an elite residential complex. The starting price for the lot is 44.4 million hryvnias, which corresponds to the amount of the borrower’s debt to the bank. The parking spaces have areas of 9.1 sq. m, 13.2 sq. m, and 13.8 sq. m.

Ukrbudinvestbank plans to hold an auction on September 3 for the sale of a hotel complex in the resort village of Polyana in Transcarpathia. Six eco-cottages with a total area of 341.9 sq. m and a land plot of 0.12 hectares designated for the development of tourist infrastructure and public catering facilities are up for auction. The starting price is 10.26 million hryvnias.
