According to information from the Cyberpolice and the Pension Fund of Ukraine, such messages are not true and lack confirmation from official state bodies. The Cyberpolice explains that the authors of fake news use sensitive social topics to manipulate public opinion, urging users to select their birth year and follow special links to supposedly obtain additional information. This is a typical scheme aimed at attracting people to suspicious third-party resources.

It is noted that some of the websites linked in the fake messages “may pose risks to the security of personal data.”

Recommendations from Experts and Data Security

Law enforcement warns that by following such links, users may expose their personal data to danger. Official information regarding pensions, social benefits, subsidies, and privileges is published exclusively through verified channels of the Pension Fund of Ukraine: the official website, Facebook pages, and Telegram channel.

Citizens are advised not to trust messages from dubious sources, to ignore suspicious links, and to rely solely on information from official resources of state institutions. In case of detecting signs of fraud or if an individual becomes a victim of cybercrime, it is recommended to immediately contact the Cyberpolice through an electronic appeal.
