In 2024, the European Union continued to increase its exports to Ukraine, reaching an impressive volume of €42.8 billion. At the same time, imports of Ukrainian goods to the EU amounted to €24.5 billion, resulting in a significant trade surplus of €18.3 billion, according to Eurostat data. Compared to 2023, exports grew by 9.4%, while imports increased by 7%.

Among the main export goods from the EU to Ukraine in 2024 were mineral fuels, totaling €6.8 billion, electrical equipment at €4.3 billion, and machinery at €4.2 billion. The largest growth in exports from the EU to Ukraine was observed in the category of mineral fuels, which increased by €4.1 billion, made possible by a reduction in imports of this fuel from Russia and Belarus.
Imports from Ukraine also show significant volumes, with the main goods being agricultural products, particularly grains at €4.4 billion, animal fats and vegetable oils at €3.1 billion, as well as oilseeds and their processed products at €2.5 billion. Compared to 2021, imports of grains increased by €2.7 billion, fats and oils by €1 billion, and oilseeds and their processing by €1.1 billion.
