As of today, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro is 48.50 UAH/EUR. The rate planned in the state budget for 2026 anticipates a slight increase to 49.4 hryvnias per euro.
It is worth noting that the projected euro exchange rate, like that of the dollar, which the government includes in the state budget bill, is always an estimate and rarely matches the actual figures by the end of the year.
Features of Calculations in the Budget Process
The average exchange rate used in the budget draft is applied for financial planning for the upcoming year and determining the size of taxes and revenues to the state treasury. At the same time, the actual exchange rate throughout the year may fluctuate depending on the economic situation, currency market dynamics, and external factors.
