ETHSofia 2025 has announced its return in September, focusing this year’s program on Web3 security and innovations in decentralized technologies.

Key Highlights of ETHSofia 2025
The flagship event for the Ethereum community in the Balkan region will take place on September 24-25 at Sofia Tech Park. The event will bring together leading Web3 experts from various countries for a three-day program that includes intensive technical sessions, hands-on workshops, and expanded opportunities for professional networking.
This year, organizers are placing special emphasis on security issues in Web3, responding to the rise in cases of abuse in decentralized protocols. The program will cover topics such as infrastructure resilience, secure smart contract development, and exploit prevention. Participants will have the opportunity to attend hands-on workshops and join panel discussions featuring industry leaders.

Among the first wave of confirmed speakers are renowned experts from leading international companies:
- Nicolas Baca, co-founder of Ledger;
- Stefan Bratanov, blockchain engineer at Consensys;
- Martin Kvensel, co-founder of Centrifuge;
- Mike Masari, strategic advisor at RedStone;

This year’s general partners will include Nexo, a leader in crypto fintech in Bulgaria, Ambire (developers of smart contract wallets), Bitomat, BoneX, UEB3 Fund, Remote IT World, as well as the Ethereum Foundation, which traditionally supports the conference through its Ecosystem Support Program.
In addition to security, the program will cover relevant areas such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, Trading Tech, DeFi, tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), and blockchain network scaling.
The organizers emphasize that ETHSofia 2025 will be an even larger and more ambitious event aimed at raising the technical awareness of the community and solidifying Sofia’s position as one of the key European development hubs based on Ethereum.
