In Kyiv, emergency power outages have been implemented following a night drone attack carried out by Russian forces, as ordered by the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo”. Consequences of the Attack in Kyiv
In the morning, the capital was again attacked by drones. According to the State Emergency Service, rescuers were dispatched twice to the scene in the Pechersk district: at one location, four small trucks caught fire, damaging two buildings and a nearby car; at another address, the fire from drone debris was extinguished before the units arrived.
“The fires have been extinguished. No information about casualties has been received,” the State Emergency Service reported.
Throughout the night and morning, air defense systems were actively engaged over Kyiv, and by morning, the air raid alert was lifted. As reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration, the city has switched to emergency power outages to stabilize the energy system after the night attack.
Power Supply Restrictions and Situation in the Region
According to the announcement, stabilization power outages will be in effect in Kyiv from 08:00 to 21:00. Energy workers are urging residents to use electricity wisely and limit the use of energy-intensive appliances.
In addition to Kyiv, settlements in the Kyiv region were also targeted. According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, throughout the night, the enemy attacked with missiles and drones, causing damage to energy infrastructure and the residential sector. In the Boryspil and Vyshhorod districts, private houses and vehicles were damaged. Four people were injured due to debris from a Russian drone falling in the Vyshhorod district.
Rescuers also extinguished fires at infrastructure facilities in the Obukhiv and Bucha districts that occurred as a result of the missile attack. According to the State Emergency Service, the most affected areas were Vyshhorod, Obukhiv, Bucha, and Boryspil districts.
