In Ukraine, the electricity tariff for households will remain unchanged at 4.32 UAH per kWh starting July 1, 2025. Thus, an average family of three consuming about 165 kWh per month will pay 712.8 UAH for electricity.

Current Tariffs and Savings Opportunities
According to government resolution No. 480 dated April 29, 2025, there are no plans to change the electricity price at least until October 2025. For owners of dual-zone meters, there is an opportunity to significantly reduce costs: during the night from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, the tariff is only 2.16 UAH per kWh. If 30% of electricity is consumed during this period, the bill can decrease to 605.88 UAH per month.
“From time to time, there are ‘leaks’ in the information space regarding plans to change electricity prices. However, none of these scenarios are being seriously discussed. There is currently an understanding that after the war, there will need to be a gradual phasing out of subsidies for all Ukrainians under the PSO (Public Service Obligation). Currently, the government resolution on the PSO obliges electricity suppliers to sell electricity at a fixed tariff.”
Tips to Reduce Electricity Costs
Experts recommend developing simple household habits that can help reduce electricity consumption. One of the most effective ways is to turn off lights and electrical appliances when they are not in use. Even small devices that remain plugged in consume energy and increase bills.
Additionally, modern household appliances have energy-efficient modes that allow for reduced electricity consumption without sacrificing functionality. For example, washing machines and dishwashers with the appropriate settings consume significantly less energy.
Furthermore, to retain heat in the home, it is advisable to insulate buildings, install energy-saving windows, and seal doors and windows. Such measures help significantly reduce heat loss and, consequently, decrease electricity consumption.
