President Volodymyr Zelensky announced progress in negotiations with the USA regarding the conclusion of an economic partnership agreement. According to the latest report from officials, the text of the document has undergone significant revisions, becoming more balanced. This, in the president’s opinion, opens new opportunities for both peoples – Ukrainian and American.

“The document has become significantly stronger – equal in rights – and can be beneficial for both our peoples: for Ukraine and for America,” the president emphasized.
According to the Financial Times, the framework agreement on subsoil resources, which may be signed as early as this week, will cover not only rare earth metals but also all mineral resources, including oil and gas, as well as key energy assets on Ukrainian territory.
It is worth noting that due to Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure this winter, the country has lost nearly 50% of its gas production. This underscores the importance of the new agreement, which still needs to be ratified by the Ukrainian parliament. Some deputies have already expressed doubts about supporting the agreement, pointing to potential negative aspects.
