Dniprovskyi Fertilizer Plant Declares Bankruptcy Due to War

The court has declared the “Dniprovskyi Mineral Fertilizer Plant” in Kamyanske bankrupt and opened a liquidation procedure. Even before the full-scale war began, the company’s debts exceeded ₴1 billion. In February 2022, a rehabilitation procedure was initiated at the plant, which was set to last nearly six years. The rehabilitation plan aimed to restore production through long-term contracts for processing raw materials.

During 2022-2023, the company managed to pay off part of its debts amounting to ₴44.9 million. However, due to Russia’s aggression and the introduction of martial law, the plant faced serious problems in sourcing raw materials, most of which were delivered by sea. In 2024, production was halted.

As of March 2025, wage debts had accumulated, totaling ₴15.8 million, debts to the Pension Fund amounted to ₴48 million, taxes and fees reached ₴18.1 million, and utility bills totaled ₴0.75 million. In light of these circumstances, a motion was filed with the court for the early termination of the rehabilitation procedure and the opening of a liquidation procedure.

The Dniprovskyi Fertilizer Plant was established in 2002 on the basis of the state enterprises “Agrofos” and “Amofos”, which inherited facilities from the giant Soviet chemical complex – the Dnipro Chemical Plant. Currently, the company is part of the “Ukragrokhimholding” corporation.
