Denmark Invests in the Recovery of Business and Infrastructure in Mykolaiv Region

In 2025, Denmark launched the largest support program ever provided by the country to another state — the Transitional Support Program for Ukraine (UTP) with a total budget of 2.8 billion Danish kroner (approximately €375 million). About 60% of this amount, which is over €225 million, is directed specifically towards the recovery of Mykolaiv region, particularly the city of Mykolaiv. The remaining funds are allocated for financing projects in another 20 regions of Ukraine, including support for initiatives in Mykolaiv region.

Key Outcomes of Business Recovery in the Region

Thanks to Denmark’s financial support, a number of important projects have already been implemented in Mykolaiv region, significantly impacting the economy and quality of life for local residents:

  • Oil Production in Bereznegovatoye: a local family farm has installed new modern equipment for processing sunflower, flax, rapeseed, and soybeans. This has created additional jobs in the community.
  • Concrete Plant in Snihurivka: a modern concrete mixing plant has been launched, with a capacity of 60 cubic meters of concrete per hour. The enterprise provides materials for the reconstruction of schools, hospitals, and other critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Production of Eco-Friendly Briquettes in Novomykolaivka: local farmers have started processing agricultural waste into environmentally friendly fuel briquettes, making heating more accessible and sustainable.
  • Mechanized Cherry Harvesting in Kovalivka: Fresh Berry LLC has introduced a unique combine for mechanized cherry harvesting in the region, significantly increasing production efficiency.

Danish Aid as a Driver of Regional Recovery
