Crypto.com, in collaboration with Hollywood.com, has unveiled a new innovative tool for movie and entertainment fans — the world’s first legal prediction platform focused on the entertainment industry.

A New Betting Platform for Entertainment Event Outcomes
In partnership with Hollywood.com, the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com announced the launch of a unique prediction market that allows users to make forecasts about upcoming events in the worlds of film, television, music, theater, and pop culture. On the platform, users can predict who will win popular reality shows, which films will receive prestigious awards, how box office revenues will change, or who will top the music charts.
The platform will operate exclusively on the Hollywood.com website, providing secure and federally regulated access to new opportunities for entertainment fans. Event contracts will be offered through Derivatives North America — a licensed exchange and clearinghouse affiliated with Crypto.com and registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
“As prediction markets continue to grow and become part of clients’ investment strategies, we are excited to partner with a leading media company to offer users a new way to engage with their favorite content,” said Travis McGee, Managing Director and Global Head of Capital Markets at Crypto.com.
Real Earnings from Predictions in the Entertainment World
The new tool opens up opportunities for fans to earn from predicting the outcomes of various events in the entertainment sector. Prediction trading will occur in real-time, with contract prices updated instantly according to the latest news and industry changes. This provides users with flexibility and responsiveness in decision-making.
Interest in prediction platforms is growing worldwide. Hollywood.com aims to make this innovation mainstream specifically in the entertainment segment. As co-CEO Mitchell Rubenstein notes, the partnership with Crypto.com allows for a platform fully dedicated to predictions in film, television, video games, Broadway, pop culture, and among celebrities for the first time. This gives fans the chance to influence the processes shaping the entertainment industry.
It is worth noting that in December 2024, Crypto.com launched a similar platform for sports events called Sports Event Trading, which is also regulated by the CFTC and targeted at the U.S. market. The company is currently expanding its presence in the prediction segment, competing with rivals like Kalshi and Polymarket, which are actively developing services for sports and political betting.
