The coal company Coal Energy S.A., registered in Luxembourg and with major assets in Ukraine, some of which remain under the control of the Russian Federation, has published an updated development strategy. Development Plans in Poland and Romania

In Poland, the main focus will be on the Bobryk-Mekhov deposit. The process of obtaining a license for the development of this deposit will occur in several stages, allowing the company to gradually increase production and ensure stable project development.

Regarding Romania, Coal Energy is considering the possibility of extracting anthracite coal, which has the highest carbon content among all types of coal. The company plans to participate in the official tender process to obtain a concession for the extraction or exploration of deposits, which will allow it to expand its geographical reach and strengthen its position in the European market.

The Company’s Future and Additional Directions

Coal Energy also does not rule out the possibility of resuming mining activities in Ukraine, collaborating with local and international partners. In addition to its core activities, the company intends to develop a consulting services direction in the field of mineral resource extraction, offering expert solutions to third parties.

“The coal extraction project in Poland focuses on the Bobryk-Mekhov deposit, and the licensing procedure will be carried out in several stages.”

It should be noted that Coal Energy’s shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2011, and the company has long specialized in coal extraction in the Donetsk region.
