The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution launching an experimental project for the automatic military registration of conscripts, military personnel, and reservists. This step aims to significantly simplify the registration process and reduce the bureaucratic burden on citizens and territorial recruitment centers (TRCs).

Automatic Registration and Simplification of Procedures
From now on, some citizens will be able to register for military service without personally visiting government agencies, without long waits in lines, and without gathering additional documents. In particular, automatic registration will apply to:
- men who did not register at 17 years old — they will automatically be granted conscript status upon reaching 18 years of age;
- men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad — during the receipt or exchange of passport documents at the State Migration Service offices. They will not need to visit TRCs or undergo a military-medical commission for this.
Integration of State Registers for Effective Interaction
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that to implement this initiative, data exchange has been established between the Ministry of Defense, the State Migration Service, the demographic register, and the civil status acts register. This allows for the automatic retrieval of necessary information about citizens and avoids unnecessary visits to government institutions.
“Some people will register for military service without personal visits, queues, and additional documents.”
As noted by Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, thanks to the integration of databases, citizens will no longer need to collect documents themselves or visit numerous offices — the system will perform all necessary actions automatically.
