A new round of negotiations has begun in Geneva with the participation of delegations from Ukraine, the USA, and Russia. The Ukrainian side has a clear mandate and is acting in accordance with the framework agreed upon by the President of Ukraine.

This time, the key focus of the negotiations is on security issues and humanitarian aspects. The Ukrainian delegation is led by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov. He emphasized that the main task of the Ukrainian side is to make progress in addressing issues that will contribute to establishing sustainable peace.
“Today we are starting another round of negotiations in a trilateral format – Ukraine, the USA, and Russia. We have an agreed framework from the President of Ukraine and a clear mandate. The agenda includes security and humanitarian issues. We are working constructively, focused, and without unnecessary expectations. Our task is to advance those solutions that can bring us closer to sustainable peace,” said NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Features of the Negotiation Process
The meetings of the delegations are taking place in a closed format for the media. The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to the United States for its active participation and consistent support during the negotiations, as well as to Switzerland for organizing and creating the necessary conditions for the meetings. The negotiation process continues in close cooperation among the parties with the aim of finding ways to achieve peace and address humanitarian issues.
