Cabinet Increases Compensation for Businesses for Destroyed Property in Frontline Regions to 30 Million UAH

New Compensation Terms for Businesses

For enterprises located in other regions of Ukraine, the amount of compensation for the insurance premium has been increased to 3 million hryvnias. An important change is the cancellation of the rule that reduced the compensation amount by the size of previously received grants or other state support. This will allow companies to receive greater financial assistance regardless of prior payments.

“The government is expanding the war risk insurance program. Compensation for damaged property in frontline regions is increasing to 30 million UAH. For the rest of the country, the amount of compensation for the insurance premium is being raised to 3 million UAH,” the statement reads.

Businesses that have already submitted applications for compensation now have the opportunity to make changes or additions to them until May 1, 2026. In particular, businesses can increase the amount of declared losses or add other property to the application if it was included in the program at the time of damage or destruction.

Procedure for Receiving Compensation and Application Statistics

From now on, applications for compensation of the insurance premium can be submitted as early as the 31st day after the insurance contract is concluded. If the insurance payment is made in installments, compensation will also be paid proportionally to the amounts paid. This allows enterprises to receive state financial support more quickly after formalizing insurance contracts.

According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, since January 1, 2026, businesses have submitted 52 applications for compensation for damaged or destroyed property, of which 20 have already been confirmed for a total amount of 166.5 million hryvnias. A total of 21 applications have been submitted for the compensation of the insurance premium.

It is worth noting that the government, in its resolution dated November 28, 2025, approved the procedure for partial compensation of the value of property destroyed or damaged as a result of armed aggression by the Russian Federation, as well as partial compensation of insurance premiums under contracts for war risk insurance.
