BitMine Invests Over $200 Million in Ethereum and Becomes the Largest Corporate Holder

BitMine has made a significant investment in the cryptocurrency Ethereum, acquiring 46,255 ETH for a total of $201 million. According to data from the analytical platform Arkham Intelligence, referenced by experts at Onchain Lens, the company now controls 2,126,018 ETH, equivalent to $9.24 billion at the current exchange rate.

BitMine Strengthens Its Position in the Ethereum Market

Recently, BitMine released a press statement announcing an increase in its assets, including Bitcoin and cash reserves, to $9.21 billion. At that time, the company controlled 2.06 million ETH with an average acquisition price of $4,312. The latest purchase transaction occurred at an average price of $4,345 per 1 ETH. As of September 2025, Ethereum is trading at $4,441. This provides BitMine with significant unrealized profits both on its overall portfolio and from the latest transaction.

Results of the Latest Purchase and Company Strategy

According to analysts, BitMine’s total unrealized profit from its investments in Ethereum amounts to $265.7 million, of which $4.4 million is attributed to the latest acquisition.

“This makes the company the largest corporate holder of Ethereum in the world. Additionally, BitMine ranks second among companies managing treasury in crypto assets overall, surpassed only by Strategy.”

BitMine has announced its intention to control 5% of the entire circulating supply of Ethereum. To implement this strategy, the company has shifted to a policy of accumulation and monetization of the asset reserve, having completely ceased its Bitcoin mining operations back in July 2025.
