Azarov stated that Ukraine’s energy sector operates thanks to his government

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, who led the government from 2010 to 2014, made a series of statements regarding the current state of the country’s energy system. Azarov on his role in the development of Ukraine’s energy sector

Mykola Azarov, who currently resides in Russia after fleeing Ukraine, stressed that the current energy system, according to him, was largely shaped during his time as head of the government. He expressed confidence that these foundations allow the country to remain viable despite the challenges.

“It is surviving now. But what we laid down in the energy sector allows it to exist. Not just to freeze in an icy desert, but to exist. This is a source of some satisfaction for me, but on the other hand, a source of regret,” said Mykola Azarov.

Criticism of the current government and comments on Zelensky

In his remarks, Azarov criticized the current leadership of Ukraine, accusing it of a lack of competence. In particular, he emphasized that the current government is unable to effectively utilize the potential that was created in previous years and accused it of actions that, in his opinion, harm the Ukrainian people. Azarov also commented on President Volodymyr Zelensky, questioning his professional qualities.

It is known that after fleeing to the Russian Federation, Mykola Azarov received financial support, state protection, and a residence from the Russian authorities. His monthly payments amount to about 50,000 rubles.
