In March 2026, the average salary of employees in Ukraine reached 30,356 hryvnias, which is 7.2% higher than the figure for February. This growth demonstrates a positive trend in the country’s labor market.

Regional Differences in Salary Levels
The highest average salaries were recorded in Kyiv, where the salary amounts to 49,381 hryvnias. In the Kyiv region, this figure was 29,997 hryvnias. The lowest salaries are observed in Kirovohrad region — 21,375 hryvnias and Chernivtsi region — 21,453 hryvnias.
Sector Indicators and Salary Arrears
Among sectors, the information and telecommunications sector remains the leader in terms of pay, with an average salary in March reaching 85,673 hryvnias (in February — 78,941 hryvnias). The lowest incomes are earned by education sector workers — 19,394 hryvnias (in February — 18,826 hryvnias).

For comparison, in 2025, the average salary from which insurance contributions were made and which is considered for pension calculations was 20,653 hryvnias.
