Automatic Parking Fine Control Launched in Ukraine via Diia

An automatic system for monitoring parking fines has been implemented in seven cities of Ukraine, allowing drivers to receive notifications about administrative penalties almost instantly. Now, information about fines is sent directly to the Diia app, eliminating the need to wait for paper notifications or stand in line to pay them.

The System Operates in Seven Cities and is Expanding

Currently, the service is available in Lviv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro, Drohobych, Bila Tserkva, and Vinnytsia. In the near future, there are plans to connect new regions to the automated system.

How the Automated Fine System Works

  • Data on parking violations is automatically retrieved from the relevant registry.
  • The driver immediately receives a notification in the Diia app.
  • To use the service, it is sufficient to have a digital driver’s license or an electronic vehicle registration document in the app.
  • The fine can be paid directly in Diia with just a few clicks, without leaving home.

“Information from the violation registry goes directly to the ‘Diia’ app, and there is no longer a need to wait for paper letters or stand in line”.

This system significantly reduces the amount of paper documentation, allowing drivers to respond promptly to fines without the risk of accumulating debts. Payments are made quickly and transparently, and all details of the violation are displayed in the app.

It is worth noting that as of March 5, Law No. 4657-IX came into effect, which requires designated parking spaces for families with children under three years old. From now on, Ukrainian drivers transporting young children have the legal right to reserved parking spots.
