In the first half of 2025, there has been significant growth in the number of retail outlets in Ukraine. From January to June, 730 new stores opened in the country, indicating a positive trend in the retail sector.

Regional Distribution of Stores

The highest concentration of retail outlets is traditionally recorded in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, where 5,622 stores operate. Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions also show significant figures, with the number of stores exceeding 2,000 in each region. In Odesa and Kharkiv, this figure stands at over 1,000 outlets.

Overall Retail Dynamics

In the first half of the year, retailers opened a total of 1,056 new stores while closing 326 locations. The net increase in retail outlets during this period was 730. As of July 1, 2025, there are 23,892 stores operating across 113 retail chains in Ukraine.
