In the Zhytomyr region, two gas station employees face up to eight years in prison on suspicion of embezzling customers’ money. According to the investigation, the women, aged 54 and 59, devised a scheme that allowed them to illegally gain additional profit at the expense of fuel buyers.

Scheme of Illegal Enrichment at the Gas Station
As established by law enforcement, the operators used discount cards during transactions for fuel. They charged drivers the full price of the purchased gasoline while keeping the difference obtained from the discounts for themselves. The abuses occurred only during cash transactions.
Afterward, the women reported inflated amounts of received funds in their documentation. As a result, according to the investigation, they managed to embezzle about 30 thousand hryvnias.
The Case Has Been Transferred to Court
The indictment in this case has already been sent to court. Both gas station employees are charged with offenses under the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 1, 3 of Article 358 – “forgery of documents, seals, stamps, and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps”;
- Part 4 of Article 191 – “embezzlement of property”.

The women face a prison sentence of five to eight years if their guilt is proven.
