Ukraine Creates Youth Spaces for Psychosocial Support for Teenagers

The Olena Zelenska Foundation presented a new project during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 in Rome, aimed at supporting youth in Ukraine. The project “Youth Spaces 12-21” involves the organization of inclusive and accessible spaces for teenagers and young people aged 12 to 21. These centers will provide free and confidential psychosocial assistance both individually and in groups, as well as career counseling and quality leisure activities.

Partners and Scope of the Initiative

The launch of the project was made possible thanks to the first strategic partner – The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, as well as the support of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In 2025, the first five youth spaces are planned to open in various regions of Ukraine. In the long term, the Olena Zelenska Foundation aims to ensure the availability of such centers in every region of the country.

Mission of the Olena Zelenska Foundation

The Olena Zelenska Foundation was established in 2022 by the First Lady of Ukraine to implement humanitarian and social projects focused on children, teenagers, and youth. Over the years of full-scale war, more than 70 partner organizations from over 30 countries have joined the Foundation’s initiatives, allowing for an expanded range of assistance and outreach.

It envisions the creation of barrier-free and accessible youth spaces where teenagers and young people can receive free and confidential individual or group psychosocial support, career counseling, as well as quality leisure activities.
