Tymoshenko spoke about political pressure ahead of the elections
“Elections are approaching. I am convinced and believe in this. I believe that peace negotiations are underway, and the president’s administration knows this very well. And that is why there is a whiff of such things. Such retributions have begun,” stated the leader of the political force represented in parliament.
According to Tymoshenko, the investigation against her is being conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP). At the same time, she did not specify who might be the instigator of this case but suggests that after a change in power, detectives and judges will reveal this information.
The case involves suspicions of bribing deputies
On April 8, NABU and SAP announced the completion of the pre-trial investigation regarding the leader of one of the parliamentary factions. Although the name was not officially disclosed, the details of the case make it clear that it concerns Yulia Tymoshenko. According to the investigation, in December 2025, the suspect established contacts with certain deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, offering them rewards for loyal voting. Investigators speak of creating a “sustainable mechanism for cooperation with advance payments.”
So far, no further details about the progress of the investigation have been reported. Yulia Tymoshenko emphasizes the political subtext of the case, which has intensified ahead of the electoral campaign.
