According to the latest data from the World Bank, the reconstruction needs for the Kyiv region amount to approximately $37.6 billion. As part of the implementation of already initiated projects, the government has decided to allocate an additional 1.5 billion hryvnias from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

This was announced by Denys Shmyhal, the head of the government, during a meeting where several other important decisions were also made. In particular, the algorithm for obtaining compensation for destroyed individual housing is being improved, which will expedite the reconstruction process.
Additionally, nearly 36 million hryvnias have been allocated to complete the restoration of the “Champion” stadium in the city of Irpin, and additional funding is planned to finish the construction of eight apartment buildings.
Furthermore, 5.2 billion hryvnias have been allocated to the Recovery Agency and regional administrations for the reconstruction and maintenance of roads in frontline and near-frontline areas, which are priorities for our security and defense forces.
