After the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, leading experts expect that companies specializing in renewable energy implementation will be among the first participants in the country’s reconstruction projects. According to forecasts, Ukraine plans to transform its energy system into a more resilient and decentralized one to minimize risks from potential future aggression.

Leaders in the Energy and Construction Sectors
European cement manufacturers, such as Heidelberg Materials and Holcim, as well as companies involved in the production of equipment for wind and solar energy, like Siemens Energy, have already received a significant boost for development by 2025 due to large-scale infrastructure programs in Germany. This has greatly increased their potential to participate in the reconstruction of Ukrainian infrastructure.
Opportunities for Other European Companies
Among other potential beneficiaries, experts highlight the Austrian company Wienerberger, which produces a wide range of products—from bricks to plumbing pipes. With factories in Poland and Hungary, the company has a favorable geographical location for the timely supply of materials to Ukraine. Wienerberger is capable of not only supporting the restoration of water infrastructure but also actively participating in the reconstruction of residential housing, especially in the eastern part of the country.
