In the first half of 2025, Ukraine is experiencing significant salary growth in several key cities and professions, particularly in sectors where there is a shortage of personnel. According to labor market research, substantial salary increases have been recorded in construction, trade, logistics, as well as among offers for students and beginners.

Leaders Among Cities and Sectors
The highest salary growth has been noted in Kyiv in the category of “Advertising/Design/PR” for promoter positions – here, the median wage for June 2025 increased by 123% compared to January, reaching 501 UAH per shift or day. This is largely explained by hourly wages, although monthly rates are also encountered.
In the “Retail/Sales/Purchasing” sector, median salaries for cashiers and salespeople have noticeably increased in several cities:
- Lviv: cashier – +34% (25.5 thousand UAH), salesperson – +16% (24.9 thousand UAH);
- Kyiv: cashier – +23% (25.1 thousand UAH), salesperson – +20% (25.3 thousand UAH);
- Zhytomyr: salesperson – +17% (18.5 thousand UAH);
- Odesa: cashier – +13% (21.5 thousand UAH);
- Vinnytsia: salesperson – +12% (16.4 thousand UAH).
Changes in Construction, Logistics, and for Beginners
In the “Construction/Finishing Works” sector, the median salary for laborers has also increased in many cities: in Cherkasy – by 54% (21.5 thousand UAH), in Kropyvnytskyi – by 47% (22 thousand UAH), in Lutsk – by 37% (24 thousand UAH), in Poltava – by 32% (20.5 thousand UAH).
Vacancies for loaders in the “Logistics/Warehouse/Delivery” sector in Kyiv have a median salary that has increased by 27% and now stands at 26 thousand UAH. Increases have also been noted in Vinnytsia (+26%, 18.9 thousand UAH) and Odesa (+22%, 22.5 thousand UAH).
In the “Career Start/Students” category, salary growth is observed in the following cities:
- Dnipro – up to 18.8 thousand UAH (+34%);
- Odesa – up to 20 thousand UAH (+29%);
- Kyiv – up to 25.3 thousand UAH (+19%).
“Salaries in the first half of 2025 have increased primarily in sectors with a labor shortage – construction, trade, logistics. Employers are also increasingly attracting young people and inexperienced workers by raising salaries for entry-level positions,” the report states.
Experts note that the increase in wages is related to the shortage of personnel, seasonal demand, and the active involvement of young specialists in the labor market.
