Web3 Projects Attracted Over $2.2 Billion in Investments in July 2025

In July 2025, 97 projects in the Web3 and blockchain sectors raised a total of $2.28 billion in investments. The sectors that attracted the most attention from investors were blockchain services, centralized (CeFi), and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Largest Investment Deals of the Month

The leader in terms of raised funding was the platform pump.fun, which conducted a token sale of $500 million that ended in 12 minutes. At the same time, the actual demand for the project’s tokens exceeded $2 billion.

The top five largest deals also included:

  • OSL Group – $300 million for the Hong Kong cryptocurrency exchange
  • Mercurity Fintech – $200 million credit line from Solana Ventures
  • Satsuma – $135 million for creating a Bitcoin treasury
  • MEI Pharma – $100 million for forming a Litecoin reserve

Investments in Artificial Intelligence Projects

$10 billion — Elon Musk’s company xAI, which develops various AI solutions, including the chatbot Grok, received these funds in a mixed round. This includes $5 billion in secured debt and $5 billion in strategic investments.

Among other major deals in the AI sector:

  • Ramp – $500 million for developing financial AI agents
  • Hadrian – $260 million for creating AI-driven factories
  • OpenEvidence – $210 million for developing a medical AI application
  • Vanta – $150 million for an AI-based security platform

According to CryptoRank, the most active investor in July was the platform Colosseum, which made nine investments. Overall, there is a steady interest from investors in Web3 projects, especially those related to blockchain services and financial technologies.
