Ukrainian meteorologists are warning of significant weather changes expected on Saturday, January 31. According to Natalia Didenko, residents of the country should prepare for severe frosts, increased winds, and precipitation in various regions.

The expert notes that relatively mild temperatures will remain in the eastern and southern regions. Specifically, during the day in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea, the air temperature will warm up to +1…+5 degrees. However, this warmer weather will be accompanied by rain, sleet, and strong stormy winds.

Frosts and Stormy Wind Intensification
Starting January 31, a powerful anticyclone will move into Ukraine from the north, pushing out moist air masses and bringing significant cooling. In most regions, daytime temperatures will drop to -6…-10 degrees, while in the west and north of the country, temperatures will reach -7…-12 degrees. The northeastern wind will be brisk, with possible stormy gusts, further intensifying the feeling of cold.
In Kyiv, January will end with real frosts: at night, temperatures will drop to -14 degrees, and during the day, it is expected to be around -12. The beginning of February promises to be even colder, with nighttime temperatures dropping to -20…-28 degrees.
