Expansion of Retail Chains in the Regions

The Silpo supermarket chain is also increasing its presence by launching a new store covering 1,948 square meters in the residential complex “Novopecherski Lypky” in Kyiv. This three-story supermarket is designed with inspiration from the history of Lypky — one of the oldest districts of Pechersk. Previously, there was a 500-square-meter Silpo store in this area, but the company decided that this was insufficient for such a large district and opened an additional retail outlet.

A new shoe store of the international chain CCC has opened in the Hollywood Mall shopping and entertainment center in Chernihiv. It spans 583 square meters, allowing for a wide selection of modern footwear for customers.

Changes in the Sports Goods Market

Amid the active development of retail, some companies are forced to scale back their operations. The sports retailer Athletics has officially announced its withdrawal from the Ukrainian market due to economic and logistical difficulties. The chain consists of 29 stores in 15 cities across the country, and some retail spaces in shopping centers will be immediately transferred to other tenants.
