The UPG gas station operator has become the first among major networks in Ukraine to implement a reduction in fuel prices, setting a new pricing trend for the fuel market. The price of gasoline has decreased by 2 hryvnias per liter, while diesel fuel has dropped by 1 hryvnia per liter. This marks the first price reduction after a prolonged period of gradual increases in fuel costs.
This is reported by Finway
“Gasoline A-95 currently costs 71.90 UAH per liter (the improved version is 74.90 UAH/l), while diesel fuel is priced at 84.90 UAH per liter (premium at 87.90 UAH/l).”
Market Changes After a Long Period of Rising Prices
The current price reduction appears moderate when compared to the trends of previous months. Since the beginning of 2026, fuel prices have risen significantly: gasoline has increased by over 10 hryvnias per liter, diesel by more than 17 hryvnias per liter, and autogas by nearly 5 hryvnias per liter.
Impact of Global Factors on Pricing Policy
Recent fluctuations in oil prices on global markets are partially linked to U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement regarding “productive negotiations” with Iran and the temporary postponement of potential military actions. Against this backdrop, oil prices have slightly decreased; however, experts advise caution in drawing hasty conclusions about the duration of this trend.
