Expansion of the Program and Increase in Participants

The “National Cashback” program, which launched in September 2024, continues to attract more participants. In May 2025 alone, over 3.5 million citizens received payments, and the number of active users is steadily increasing.

“In May 2025, over 3.5 million Ukrainians received a record 490 million UAH in cashback for purchases of Ukrainian goods – the total amount of payments over 9 months reached nearly 3 billion UAH.”

The program allows for a 10% refund on the cost of purchases made with a card registered in the system. The refunded funds can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medications, books, or top up mobile services. Additionally, there is an option to donate the cashback to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other charitable causes. The collected funds are held in the account until the end of 2025. If at least 2 UAH in cashback is accrued within a month, the system automatically transfers the amount to the specified card.

Participation Conditions and Opportunities for Ukrainians

Citizens with an open account at partner banks can participate in the program. Currently, over 20 banks are connected to the initiative. To start using the cashback, one needs to apply through the bank’s website or app, select a card for making purchases, agree to share transaction information, and activate a physical or virtual “National Cashback” card.

After activating the card in the Diia app, users need to go to the “Services” section, find the “National Cashback” tab, and select the card for receiving payments. A barcode scanner is available in Diia for checking product eligibility for the program. Cashback is credited exclusively for domestically produced products included in the approved list — these are food items, household chemicals, books from Ukrainian publishers, and medical supplies from Ukrainian manufacturers.
