Current Dollar and Euro Rates for the Weekend
Analyst Oleksiy Kozyrev provided his forecast regarding the exchange rates of major currencies on December 7. According to his estimates, in most exchange offices, the dollar rate will be 41.90-42.10 UAH for buying and 42.20-42.40 UAH for selling. As for the euro, on that day, the expected rate is within 48.90-49.10 UAH for buying and 49.25-49.50 UAH for selling.
Impact of the Situation on Exchange Office Strategies
The expert emphasizes that exchange office owners are reluctant to take on additional risks, so they are widening the spread—the difference between buying and selling rates for both the dollar and euro—to 20-35 kopecks. Wholesale exchange offices, in turn, maintain a spread of 20 kopecks, ensuring stability for large transactions.
“In the context of a tense military-political and economic situation, exchange office owners will widen the difference between buying and selling rates for both the dollar and euro to 20-35 kopecks”.
Additionally, according to Kozyrev, exchange offices closely monitor changes in international currency markets and promptly adjust their rates according to external conditions and their own business objectives.
