The Volgograd Oil Refinery holds leading positions among industry enterprises in the region. According to official data, the annual processing volume of the facility is 15.7 million tons, accounting for 5.6% of the total oil processing volume in Russia. The refinery is critically important for supplying the Russian armed forces with fuel and lubricants, highlighting its significance in the military logistics of the aggressor country.

Consequences of the Ukrainian Special Operations Attack

According to a report released on the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces, following the strike, the operation of the Volgograd Oil Refinery was halted. This could seriously impact the fuel supply for Russian military units, as well as the economic situation in the region.

“The Volgograd Oil Refinery is involved in meeting the needs of the enemy’s armed forces. This refinery is the largest producer of fuel and lubricants in the Southern Federal District of Russia.”
