Decline in Sugar Sales Amid Falling Prices
At the same time, the agricultural holding “Astarta,” which is the largest sugar producer in Ukraine, recorded a 38% decrease in sugar sales revenue in January-June 2025, down to €79 million. The reasons for this decline include an 11% drop in sugar prices and a 29% reduction in sales volumes. The share of exports in the company’s income was 47%, while in the first half of 2024 it reached 58%. The main export destinations for sugar are Libya, Macedonia, and Israel.
