According to the data from the State Customs Service, Ukraine’s trade turnover reached $125.1 billion in the period from January to December 2025. This indicates an increase in the volumes of foreign trade compared to previous years.

Import Structure and Main Partners
Last year, Ukraine imported goods worth $84.8 billion, while exports amounted to $40.3 billion. A significant portion of imports — 76% or $64.3 billion — was taxable. The largest amounts of goods in 2025 came from China ($19.2 billion), Poland ($7.9 billion), and Germany ($6.6 billion).
The structure of imported products was dominated by:
- machines, equipment, and vehicles — $34.1 billion;
- chemical industry products — $12.5 billion;
- fuel and energy products — $10.5 billion.
Key Export Directions and Budget Revenues
The main items of Ukrainian exports in 2025 were food products, which brought in $22.5 billion. In second place were metals and metal products ($4.7 billion), followed by machines, equipment, and transport ($3.6 billion). The main consumer countries of Ukrainian products remain Poland ($5 billion), Turkey ($2.7 billion), and Germany ($2.4 billion).

In comparison, in 2024, Ukraine’s foreign trade volume increased by 13% compared to 2023 — from $99.4 billion to $112.3 billion. During this period, imports amounted to $70.7 billion, while exports totaled $41.6 billion.
