Stamp to Coincide with Launch of Agricultural Hub in Ghana

The release of the new stamp is timed with the launch of the first Ukrainian agricultural hub in Ghana. The project aims to serve as a platform for cooperation between Ukraine and partner countries in the agricultural sector. It will focus on sharing agricultural expertise, training specialists, and implementing modern agricultural technologies.

Evolution of the Food from Ukraine Program

The Food from Ukraine program is gradually changing its concept. While previously the main focus was on supplying grain as humanitarian aid, the priorities are now expanding. The focus is shifting to:

  • developing local agricultural production,
  • transferring practical knowledge and experience,
  • creating sustainable food systems.

The release of the new postage stamp holds not only symbolic significance but will also serve as an important communication tool. The stamp will highlight Ukraine’s contribution to shaping the global food architecture and its role in implementing long-term development projects.

“It will reflect the transformation of the international initiative Food from Ukraine, launched by President Volodymyr Zelensky.”

Additionally, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, together with the Ukrainian Food Banks Federation, has begun preparing legislative changes to implement a national food banking network. This approach will change the system for handling food products nearing their expiration date, which is expected to reduce food waste and enhance resource efficiency.
