In Ukraine, the increase in diesel fuel prices continues: over the past week, the cost of diesel at gas stations has risen by an average of 1.03 UAH per liter. The main factors contributing to the price hike include rising prices in Europe, from where Ukraine imports most of its diesel, as well as domestic restrictions related to logistics and weather conditions.

Reasons for Price Increases and the Situation in the Wholesale Market
Last week, diesel fuel prices in Europe increased by 27 dollars per ton, which is equivalent to a rise of 1.13 UAH per liter. Over the past month, the procurement price of diesel has generally risen by 6 UAH per liter, significantly impacting the retail segment. Additionally, the market situation has been complicated by supply disruptions due to adverse weather conditions in the southern part of the country, blockage of supplies from Romania, and a lack of alternative import sources. As a result, wholesale prices for diesel fuel have increased, leading to higher prices at gas stations.
“Over the past month, the total increase in procurement costs amounts to 6 UAH per liter”.
According to monitoring by the consulting group “A-95”, the average wholesale price of diesel rose by 2.17 UAH per liter last week, reaching 52.38 UAH per liter. Since the third decade of October, the increase has been 5.46 UAH per liter. Analysts predict further increases in retail diesel prices, driven by trends in the wholesale market.
Price Dynamics at Different Gas Station Networks
The largest increase in diesel fuel prices was recorded at the “Market” gas station network – up by 3 UAH per liter, reaching 55.99 UAH per liter. The company also raised the price of A-95 gasoline by 2 UAH per liter (to 57.49 UAH per liter).
