Engaging Polish Businesses in the Reconstruction of Ukraine

During the conversation, Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized Ukraine’s significant interest in expanding the participation of Polish companies in the country’s recovery. Currently, over 3,000 Polish enterprises are involved in projects aimed at rebuilding the Ukrainian economy. The Ukrainian side expressed interest in deeper cooperation with Polish private businesses, as well as increasing Polish investments in various sectors of the economy.

“More than 3,000 Polish companies are already participating in the reconstruction projects in Ukraine, and the country is interested in greater involvement of private Polish businesses in working with Ukrainian producers and in Polish investments in our economy,” Svyrydenko emphasized.

Investment Prospects and Cooperation within the UIF

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the practical aspects of attracting investment through the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) — a key tool of the European Union for supporting reconstruction projects in Ukraine. The Ukrainian delegation noted the effectiveness of the UIF as a platform that allows for the rapid launch of real projects by mobilizing international resources for local business development. Polish colleagues were briefed on the current state of affairs and prospects for cooperation in the energy and industrial sectors.

In addition, Ukraine officially invited Poland to join the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Alliance. Both parties agreed to hold a series of specialized meetings where Polish businesses will be presented with investment opportunities in priority sectors, as well as existing government support programs for investments in Ukraine.
