Ukraine continues its active integration into the European customs space, aligning national legislation with the standards of the European Union. As of October 2025, Ukrainian customs legislation has already been harmonized with EU rules by 80%.

Progress in Meeting Commitments and Customs Digitalization
During the ninth meeting of the Subcommittee on Customs Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, the results of previously reached agreements were reviewed and further steps were discussed. Ukrainian representatives reported that the country has already fulfilled 91% of the customs commitments outlined in the Association Agreement with the EU and is approaching full technological integration with the European customs system.

Key Areas of Cooperation
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the implementation of the National Revenue Strategy until 2030, particularly focusing on the introduction of digital tools and strengthening anti-corruption measures in the customs sector. The Ukrainian delegation presented its vision for further integration, which includes expanding digital services, collaborating on risk analytics, and implementing modern technologies in the customs field.
As a result of the meeting, Ukraine and the EU outlined new directions for joint work that will bring Ukrainian customs closer to full compliance with European standards and ensure the unhindered movement of goods in the future.
