The European Parliament has made an important decision that allows Ukraine to export new types of agricultural products to the countries of the European Union. The equivalence of the certification system for oilseed and beet seeds produced in Ukraine has been confirmed. Thus, sunflower, oilseed rape, soybean, and beet seeds gain access to European markets.

This legislative initiative is a joint effort between Ukraine and Moldova. It covers the equivalence of field inspections conducted in both countries, particularly concerning fodder crop seeds in Moldova, as well as beet and oilseed seeds produced in Ukraine.
It should be noted that since autumn 2020, EU equivalence has already been extended to grain, sorghum, and corn seeds from Ukraine. After the agreement on a number of formalities that remain within the so-called trilogue between representatives of the European Parliament, the EU Council, and the European Commission, the document will be published and come into effect.
