During a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Development of Ukraine and a delegation from the Republic of Korea, key areas of cooperation in the restoration of infrastructure damaged by Russian aggression were discussed. The Ministry is actively engaging with the Korean side on issues related to urban planning, reconstruction, as well as the development of railway and aviation infrastructure.

As of today, the Ministry of Development has about 15 ongoing and potential projects in collaboration with Korea. During the meeting, particular attention was drawn to the support of port infrastructure and the development of the maritime sector. An important aspect was the restoration of energy infrastructure, with a focus on distributed energy, as well as projects related to water supply and wastewater management.
Projects for the Restoration of Ukraine
The delegation from the Republic of Korea presented several projects that could significantly contribute to the restoration of Ukraine after the war. In particular, one of the proposed projects is the establishment of a Railway Traffic Management Center, which involves the implementation of advanced signaling and automation systems. Another project concerns the development of transport infrastructure in the Kyiv region using modern technologies.
Investment Opportunities
Additionally, the South Korean company LS Group is considering the possibility of building a modern tractor factory in Ukraine, as well as producing bioethanol. These initiatives could represent an important step in the recovery of the country’s economy and the creation of new jobs.
