Grant Support for Innovative Developments

As part of the Brave-Norway program, grant support is planned for Ukrainian and Norwegian startups focusing on the development of unmanned systems and innovative solutions for the defense sector. Additionally, hackathons will be organized to seek new technological ideas, as well as the launch of platforms that will unite scientists, entrepreneurs, and companies from both countries.

“The document lays the groundwork for the establishment of the joint Brave-Norway program, which will contribute to the development of defense tech startups and strengthen technological partnership between the two countries.”

Funding and Implementation Prospects

The implementation of the program will be handled by the defense cluster Brave1 from Ukraine, while the Norwegian side will be represented by the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI). The launch of Brave-Norway is scheduled for the end of 2025. The total budget of the program is 20 million euros, equally contributed by both sides. Norwegian funding will be directed towards grants for developers of defense technologies. Testing of new solutions will take place in Ukraine, and if successful, these technologies may be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
