Ukraine and Germany Sign New Defense Projects Worth Over €1.2 Billion, Norway to Support F-16 for Ukraine

Ukraine and Germany have entered into a series of new agreements aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities. The total value of the signed projects exceeds €1.2 billion, which will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in various areas.

Key Areas of Cooperation Between Ukraine and Germany

Under the new agreements, long-term supply of spare parts for the Patriot air defense systems is planned, ensuring operational repair, modernization, and restoration of these complexes. Among the signed contracts, the following are included:

  • Procurement of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) worth €200 million;
  • Implementation of the largest artillery project for the production of 200 modern self-propelled howitzers “Bohdana” on the new Zetros chassis, totaling €750 million;
  • Establishment of a joint production of UAVs “Lynza” in collaboration between the Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics and the German company Quantum Systems as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative;
  • Signing of contracts for the continuous supply of modern tactical-level electronic warfare (EW) systems.

Norwegian Support for Ukraine

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced his country’s decision to finance a new military aid package for Ukraine worth over 3 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately €2.69 million). The package will include weapons and ammunition for F-16 fighters, as well as missiles for air defense systems.

The countries have signed a number of new important agreements with German partners worth over €1.2 billion.

The announced agreements strengthen international support for Ukraine and contribute to the development of its defense industry in collaboration with leading European countries.
