Analytical services Arkham and Lookonchain recorded the activation of two large Ethereum wallets associated with participants of the Ethereum ICO in 2015. Both wallets had remained inactive for nearly 11 years, but recently their owners made significant transactions, realizing thousands in profit from their initial investments.

Activation of ICO-era Wallets and Record Profitability
According to Arkham, one of the early investors in Ethereum during the ICO invested only $120. After 10 years, his crypto assets were valued at approximately $900,000, corresponding to over a 7500-fold increase. For the first time in a long while, the owner of this wallet made transfers: 50 ETH was moved to a new address, and another 350 ETH was sent to the Bitstamp exchange.
“This guy turned $120 into $900K in a single trade. He bought $120 of ETH in the Ethereum presale in 2015 and just moved it today. He sent 50 ETH to a new wallet and deposited 350 ETH to Bitstamp. It took 10 years, but he’s up over 7500x.”
The second wallet, noted by Lookonchain experts, had been inactive for almost 11 years. Its owner invested about $245 during the Ethereum ICO and received 790.17 ETH. The current value of these assets is approximately $1.79 million, with an investment return estimated at over 7300 times. Recently, the investor transferred all 790.17 ETH to a new wallet.
Market Dynamics and Recent Large Sales
As of May 2026, the price of Ethereum is around $2250 per coin. The ETH/USDT chart on the Binance exchange shows stable dynamics, confirming investor interest in the asset even years after the ICO.
It is worth noting that in March 2026, another participant of the Ethereum ICO sold over 11,500 ETH for about $23 million, indicating increasing activity among early wallet holders and significant gains for long-term investors.
