What is the Situation on the Railway After the Shelling

According to the company, on Wednesday, due to enemy shelling in the region, damage to railway infrastructure facilities and power outages were recorded. To ensure movement, reserve locomotives have been put on standby.

“Due to the shelling in the Sumy region, we have infrastructure damage and power outages; we have put reserve locomotives on standby,” the statement said.

After the air raid alert ends, repair crews plan to inspect the tracks, restore clearance dimensions, and ensure the safe continuation of train operations.

Which Trains Are Delayed and How Are Railway Workers Responding

Currently, four train services are delayed:

  • №779/780 Kyiv – Sumy (delay +2 hours 57 minutes);
  • №787/788 Kyiv – Shostka (delay +1 hour 5 minutes);
